The Ark is a non-profit organisation, we rely on a team of volunteers to help keep us running. If you are looking for a fun way to gain some work experience, help your community and make some friends, then please do get in touch!
Muck in with messy play, serve in our cafe or help at SNAP (Special Needs Accessible Play). Any time you can offer is very valuable to us. Here are our role descriptions.

General Volunteer: This role involves serving behind the counter, welcoming customers, taking admissions and food/drink orders and assisting with the day to day running of the Ark. This role does not require you to cook. If you are friendly and enjoy interacting with people, this is the role for you.
Activity Session Volunteers There are plenty of opportunities to assist with the Ark’s sessions and activities, such as Messy play and SNAP (Special needs accessible play). This involves welcoming families, supervising and interacting with the children and helping to tidy up afterwards.
Kitchen Volunteer: Kitchen volunteers assist with cooking and food preparation, general kitchen duties such as loading the dishwasher and restocking supplies. We are very keen for more kitchen volunteers.
